The resin is not just plastic, but an incredible chameleonic material that plays with light and transparency, colours and details. This course has no prerequisites and is open to students of all levels.
PROGRAM
Friday – June 24th: Introduction to the silicones rubber. Making silicon molds in one and two parts using different silicone hardness (shore) and consistencies (liquid and paste). The prototype shapes will be provided by the school. You are welcome to bring your own prototypes is you wish to discuss with the teacher how to make a mold from, but you can’t make at the workshop the mold of your own prototypes.
Saturday – June 25th: Introduction to the different colorants for resins, epoxy and urethane resin. Casting resin in the molds: making a solid and empty resin piece, using metal setting and images in the resin (metal settings and images are provided by the school).
June 26th: trimming, finishing and polishing the pieces casted and slides show.
The Weekend Course will be confirmed once the minimum number of students will be reached.
