The extensive experimentation with materials, which unites and complements Luca Tripaldi’s work in ceramics and that of Lucia Massei in jewellery, come together in dialogue in the WHITE & GOLD workshop.
Participants will be stimulated and guided in the creation of experimental pieces, in which porcelain, copper, silver and gold are merged to create new shapes, textures and colors.
This course is an opportunity for people who never used these materials separately or together, as well for those who would like to deepen their knowledge and try new and special ways to experiment and unite two different worlds of matters using techniques such as electroforming, hand building, inlaying, slip casting coloring …
Luca Tripaldi will demonstrate how to use such a unique and sensual material like porcelain to crate various shapes, starting from simple and linear to complex and intricate like an exoskeletons.
Lucia Massei will guide the participants in the elaboration and development of their pieces, helping them through the creative process and the making techniques necessary to execute a jewellery piece, including elements of metal and porcelain as she is an expert in colors, patinas and textures applied on metals both cold and hot.
