All the materials to make the pieces in the class are included in the price. (Conductive paint, silicon for mold, synthetic stones)
The electroforming technique allows the coating of any kind of material, whit a thick coat of copper. By mastering this technique, there are no limits to creating new shapes and textures that cannot be achieved with other techniques. Electroforming allows the coating of a thin layer of copper in silicon molds as an alternative to the lost wax process. You will begin to reconsider some common materials and how to transform them into unconventional and unique jewellery.
You are welcome to bring any kind of materials for electroforming, like leaves, mushrooms, seeds, small branches, plastics, etc., except ferric materials (the acidity of the electrolytic bath corrodes them); all organic materials must be completely dry. The size limit of the pieces is 4 x 4 x 4 cm. You will receive all the information on where to buy all the materials used in the course: electroforming bath, power supply, conductive paint, etc. To give you an idea of the investment to do, the equipment to make electroforming it is about 200 euros.
