In a world that moves at an ever-increasing pace, leaving little space for reflection, Alchimia proposes a different rhythm with Oxygen: a three-month opportunity designed for established jewellery artists who wish to pause, explore, and renew their creativity in one of the most inspiring cities in the world.
This is not an academic program, nor an intensive or summer course. Instead, Oxygen is conceived for practitioners who are already technically independent and who wish to step back into a stimulating environment as “a student” once again — regaining space for experimentation and artistic growth.

Program
Each edition of OXYGEN runs for three months, during which participants design an open and flexible study program according to their personal objectives. The experience combines guided activities with independent practice, supported by Alchimia’s faculty and resources.
Included in the program:
- 2-week Intensive Course (taken consecutively or in two separate weeks), designed with a tutor to address specific techniques or challenges.
- 4 critique sessions, offering constructive discussion on projects and their evolution.
- A fully equipped personal workbench, complete with flame and toolbox.
- Weekly technical lesson (scheduled according to the academic calendar and availability).
- Access to selected theoretical lessons in art and jewellery history.
- Participation in one weekend course of choice, (subject to availability in the scheduled weekend course calendar).
- Access to the Alchimia Library.
- A Firenze State Museums Pass (5 consecutive days, priority access to Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, Boboli Gardens, Archaeological Museum, and Opificio delle Pietre Dure).
- One additional ticket to a museum of choice in Florence.

Admission Requirements
The program is open to jewellery artists with an advanced technical level, an independent spirit, and a willingness to share within a creative community. The students admitted could be only one per season, since the program is individual.
Applicants must submit:

- Cover letter
- Associated project proposal

Facilities
Every student is provided with a personal workbench and torch, along with full access to the school’s professional equipment, specialized facilities and Library. Moreover, participants have the opportunity to use Alchimia’s showcase, located on one of Florence’s most beautiful squares, to exhibit the pieces that compose the collection or project they have developed during their OXIGEN program.
